Weekly Update 05/10/2010
- You should have gotten an email from Andrew about Rec sailing for the rest of this quarter. But just as a reminder, in addition to regular practice we will be offering practices on Saturday afternoons. (Same time as regular practice). This should be a good way to get more time on the water!
- We still need dues from some people. You won't be able to attend some of the social events for Spring if you do not pay.
- The Flying Scott regatta is on May 22-23 at Hoover. We always help out with it and need some more volunteers so let a board member know if you are able to help out. There is free food and it should be pretty fun.
- Our spring formal party is coming up soon. You should be getting some information about it pretty soon. The theme is "A Night in Paris"
- Here is the link to the blog that Chaz and Tyler have set up to update everyone on boat repairs and the status of our fleet. http://osuboatproject.blogspot.com/
- Last but not least, we have some pretty exciting regattas lined up for the Fall season so stay tuned for more updates on that.
Practice will be as usual this week. See you guys on the water.

Weekly Update 04/26/2010
- As a fundraiser, we will be hosting a sailing clinic for about 20 Fraternity guys. It will be Thursday May 20th. We won't have practice that day, however, we can use all the help we can with running the clinic. So if you can help out, let someone on the board know. The clinic will be at the same time as regular practice.
- There are 3 more nationwide events left, so we're almost done! We have made a lot of money from these and we are really close to getting some nice boats, so it would be great if everyone could step up and knock out these last few events. The events are: Women of Faith on April 30th, Pearl Jam on May 6th, and Ringling Bros Circus on May 14th.
- There are still quite a few people who haven't paid their dues yet, so please pay up!
- We have our team t-shirts that are available for $10. They are at the yacht club so you can get them at practice or just stop by.
- We are planning a Spring Formal party. There are a few themes available (Italy, Paris, Mardi Gras, Western) so let us know what you think.
- We are setting up a parent email list serve to send parents our newsletter and other important info, so if you want your parents to receive emails, either email me or give someone on the board your parent's name and email.
- Last but not least, there will be practice as usual this week. We meet at 3:30 and usually have a late car.
Thanks guys, see you this week.
